PLAY is a techno party run in Naarm/Melbourne. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to get it changed or removed. Questions or requests: hello@playnaarm.com or DM @play.naarm.
What we collect
When you buy a ticket on Resident Advisor. RA shares your name, email, postcode, ticket type, price and purchase date with us as the promoter. We use it to run the event and to understand who comes to PLAY. We don't get your payment details.
If you opt in to hear from us. Your email, plus when and where you agreed (RA's marketing tick-box, our old Mailchimp list, or a sign-up on this site). We only email people who opted in.
If you have an account. Your email, your role (for example, artist), and when you last logged in. There are no passwords: we email you a one-time code.
When you browse. No analytics, advertising or tracking. Your theme choice is kept in your own browser. If you log in, one cookie keeps you logged in. Pressing Play on a mix loads SoundCloud's player, and SoundCloud's own privacy policy applies to that.
We send next dates, early access and occasional PLAY Radio news, roughly once per event. Every email has an unsubscribe link that works in one click, and most mail apps show their own Unsubscribe button too. Unsubscribing takes effect straight away. Login codes are sent only when you ask for one.
If an email bounces permanently, or is marked as spam, we stop emailing that address.
Who else handles it
We never sell or share your details for anyone else's marketing. To run the site and send email we use: Amazon Web Services (hosting and email, Sydney), Neon (database, Sydney), Cloudflare (domain and forwarding mail to us) and Resident Advisor (ticketing). They process data for us under their own terms.
Your choices
Ask us at hello@playnaarm.com to see what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We'll do it within 30 days. We keep details until you ask us to remove them, except where we need a record of a ticket sale for an event.
